This is the story of STONE,
a rock-n-roll band formed in 1969
when the music was classic,
the cars had real muscles,
and a BIG guy named ED would bring us his own style of pizza!

After graduating from high school in 1972, the band paused a few decades to have careers outside of music. We all met up again in 2012 at the ORHS 40-year reunion where we were asked to “take over the band” and play Dance to the Music!
Check out this video of that that crazy moment:

That was the catalyst! After 40 years we realized we couldn’t stop again. Our brother Nelson had returned from service to our country, and we added Mark True, a “True” friend of Pete and Bill’s since 1972 in the UT band and one fine vocalist and guitar player. The band was resurrected to bring back the good times, and although we lived in four states, we decided we would travel wherever necessary to practice again!
We were then fortunate to play in 2015 and 2016 for the “Rock the Ridge” event that was a reunion of ten ORHS and Clinton bands from the 60’s organized by local musicians as a band reunion party each year. We were able to play at our class ’72 ORHS 45-year reunion in 2017 and the 1972 classmates’ 65th birthday party in 2019, and our great ’72 ORHS 50-yr reunion in 2022. So we’ve played longer now than we ever did in high school and have decided that “We’ll Rock ’till we Can’t!”
